Health Coverage Options Made Simple

Welcome! I’m Gaby, short for Gabriela — your bilingual health insurance advisor. With Colombian roots, a love for nature and karaoke, and years of experience helping people nationwide, I’m here to make health coverage simple and stress-free. Whether you’re self-employed, between jobs, retiring early, or just tired of overpaying, I’ll do the hard work for you. You simply choose the plan that fits best — at no cost and no obligation.

Public Marketplace (ACA / Obamacare)

Marketplace plans are designed to ensure affordable healthcare access for everyone, especially those with pre-existing conditions or limited income.

Key Benefits:

  • All pre-existing conditions accepted

  • Subsidies available based on income and household size

  • Preventive care included

  • EPO & HMO networks with in-state coverage

  • Specialist referrals required

Best suited for: individuals and families who qualify for subsidies or have ongoing health conditions.

Private Exchange Insurance

Private health insurance is often a hidden gem — especially if you don’t qualify for subsidies. Like car insurance, healthier individuals may pay less, and plans often offer more flexibility.

Key Benefits:

  • Often lower monthly costs if you don’t qualify for subsidies

  • Broader PPO networks (see doctors in or out of state)

  • Health-based discounts available

  • Premiums may be tax-deductible for self-employed individuals

Best suited for: healthy, higher-income individuals, self-employed professionals, and families seeking flexibility.

Medicare Guidance

Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people 65 and older, as well as some younger individuals with disabilities or certain conditions. Choosing the right Medicare coverage can feel overwhelming — I simplify the process so you know exactly what’s covered.

Key Benefits:

  • Helps pay for hospital stays, doctor visits, and prescriptions

  • Options for additional coverage (Medicare Advantage, Medigap, Part D)

  • Guidance through enrollment and plan selection

Best suited for: seniors or individuals qualifying under disability rules.

Understanding Network Types

Insurance networks can be confusing, so here’s a quick guide:

  • HMO: Lower premiums, requires primary doctor & referrals. Cost-effective for structured care.

  • PPO: Flexible, no referrals needed. Out-of-network coverage available. Higher premiums.

  • EPO: Balance of cost & provider choice. No out-of-network coverage (except emergencies).

  • POS: Mix of HMO & PPO. Requires referrals but allows some out-of-network care.

Key Insurance Terms (Simplified)

  • Deductible: What you pay out-of-pocket before insurance kicks in.

  • Out-of-Pocket Maximum: Once you hit this, insurance pays 100% of covered costs for the year. (Avoid plans without one!)

  • High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs): Lower premiums, higher deductibles — best for healthy individuals. Often paired with an HSA (Health Savings Account).

  • Catastrophic Plans: Very low premiums, high deductibles — designed for young, healthy people who want protection in worst-case scenarios.

Find Your Perfect Plan

Whether you need health, dental, or vision coverage, I’ll help you compare all your options — Marketplace, Private, or Medicare — and choose what works best for your needs and budget.
